If you haven’t visited CNET’s upload.com recently, you might be surprised by their new look. They’ve also made some changes that you might find interesting.
Firstly, CNET’s download.com and VersionTracker.com appear to have combined forces so you can now upload your listings for both sites from within your Upload.com account. This should be a good time saver.
And in a recent newsletter, CNET claimed that their processing times are now faster.
Secondly, the listing’s “long descriptions” are no longer confined to 1,000 characters, but to 2,500. This should be more than enough for anyone adhering to the PAD file specification.
But there are also some issues that need ironing out. For example when they merged the two website’s listings, it looks as though some listings may have been miscategorized. However this is easy to fix; just login to your account and make the necessary change to the category.
