You’ve probably noticed the ads that run down the right hand side of your Facebook pages.
In theory they’re specifically targeting you – based on the information taken from your Facebook profile, including your age, interests, connections, education and more.
In theory.
So if the technology truly works, ads that I see and those that my wife sees should be quite different. Note that both of us use Facebook quite extensively.
I’m a 40 year old British male with interests in photography, technology, climbing and procrastination.
My wife is six years younger than me, Finnish-born, with far wider-ranging interests that include cooking, languages, kayaking, pets and extreme patience for her husband.
So can you spot which ads are for which of us?
